MOPS Moms As a MOPS Mom, you will have the opportunity to grow as a woman, mother, and leader through presentations relevant to our needs as moms of preschoolers (birth to 6 years) and moms-to-be. You will also receive encouragement and inspiration from other moms as you continue to grow on your journey to renew yourself and raise healthy, happy children.
A typical meeting starts off with signing your children into the loving care of our MOPPETS childcare providers. Then you can begin to make the most of a couple of hours to yourself!
Enjoy coffee and breakfast while socializing with other moms. Announcements, celebrations, and occasional door prizes follow. Then the morning begins with a teaching by our mentors or a presentation from a guest speaker. Topics are inspiring and practical, relating to womanhood, marriage, and raising children. After that, there is some time for small group discussion.
MOPPETS Who are the MOPPETS? Our preschool children (birth—kindergarten) While you are at the MOPS Meeting, your MOPPETS will be cared for by loving volunteers free of charge. There they can play with other children their age and enjoy a snack...so our children have a great time too! Things to Remember: If your baby or child has a cold or other illness, he/she will be more comfortable at home, and that would help us avoid passing the illness on to other children in the nursery or classroom. Please label all items with first and last names—Including bottles/sippy cups and diaper bags. If your child has food allergies, please provide a small snack for him/her. If possible, please bring in a box of crackers from time to time to help us keep our snack closet stocked. Donations of snacks for the MOPPETS are greatly appreciated.
MOPS Mentors Mentor Moms provide an encouraging and nurturing relationship with our MOPS Moms. They openly share from their own experiences as mothers and remind us that the joys and challenges of motherhood are important.
